2021 marks the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Frejus tunnel and is also the year dedicated by the European Union to the railways, to promote rail transport as a green and fast means of transport.
In this context, TELT supports and takes part in several initiatives in France and Italy to celebrate the oldest rail link across the Alps in Europe and to encourage the use of rail as part of the implementation of the TEN-T network.
The objective, in accordance with the principles of the Green Deal, is to raise awareness of the advantages of rail transport for goods and passengers in the framework of cleaner, more efficient and safer connections.
